Franchise coaching & consulting

Franchising is a system. We help you build yours.

Franark works with Canadian business owners who are ready to franchise — building the legal framework, operating systems, growth plan, and recruitment pipeline that turn one successful business into a franchise network.

What we do

Four pillars of a franchise system

01

Franchise Compliance & Legal Framework

Franchising is tightly regulated, and the legal structure has to be right before you grow. We work alongside your lawyer to review your FDD and franchise agreement for compliance with local law, and we coach you through franchise agreement and lease negotiations.

02

Strategic Growth Guidance

We build a roadmap for expansion: what's needed immediately, and what a three-year and five-year rollout looks like. That means market research, territory mapping, and a cluster-driven approach that balances growth speed against brand consistency.

03

Operational Systems & Training Manuals

A franchise system runs on repeatable process. We guide, coach, and draft alongside your team to produce the full set of operations and training manuals your system requires.

04

Proven Franchise Experience

Over 30 years of franchise experience at the franchisor level, working with all national brands. Our experience spans franchise development, operations, marketing, construction, banking, and real estate, and the full franchise lifecycle — from initial setup to scaling nationally and internationally.

What we build with you

Your franchisee recruitment pipeline

Every franchisor needs a repeatable way to move a candidate from first enquiry to signed agreement. This is the eight-stage recruitment cycle we design around your business — how you will recruit franchisees, not how we work with you. We build it, document it, and train your team to run it.

  1. A candidate reaches you. Capture the enquiry and respond consistently, every time.

  2. A first screening call against the candidate profile we define for your system.

  3. Present the opportunity: the model, the economics, and what you expect of a franchisee.

  4. A deeper conversation, and the point where a serious candidate completes a formal application.

  5. The candidate researches you while you verify them: finances, background, and fit.

  6. A structured interview against defined criteria rather than gut feel.

  7. The candidate receives the FDD and reviews it with their own advisors, within the required waiting period.

  8. The franchise agreement is executed and the candidate becomes a franchisee, ready for onboarding.

Common questions

Before you get in touch

Is my business ready to franchise?

The honest test is whether one location is consistently profitable, whether the way it runs is documented well enough for someone else to repeat it, and whether the model works for an owner who isn't you. If you're not there yet, that's worth finding out early — and it's the first thing we'd look at together.

Do I still need a franchise lawyer?

Yes. We don't replace your legal counsel, we work alongside them. We review your FDD and franchise agreement for compliance and coach you through negotiation, but the legal work stays with your lawyer.

We already franchise. Can you still help?

Yes. Existing franchisors come to us for growth strategy, manual overhauls, and recruitment systems that have stalled — often when what worked for the first ten units doesn't scale to the next thirty.

What does it cost?

Engagements are scoped to the business, so there's no standard price list. Some franchisors need the full build; others need one part of the system fixed. We'll know what's involved after an initial conversation, and you'll have a scope and a number before anything starts.
